Frequently Asked Questions
When did the Benchmade 710 come out?
The Benchmade 710 launched in 1999 as Benchmade's first AXIS lock folder. The Benchmade 710-143 Gold Class is a 200-piece limited edition built on that original McHenry & Williams design.
How many Benchmade 710-143 knives were made?
Benchmade limited the Benchmade 710-143 Gold Class to a numbered run of 200 pieces, each with a Ladder Damasteel blade and titanium-bolstered carbon fiber handles.
What is Ladder Damasteel on the Benchmade 710-143?
The Benchmade 710-143 uses Damasteel, a Swedish stainless damascus, patterned in a ladder motif and finished with a hand convexed, polished edge. Because Damasteel is stainless, it needs no special care beyond normal cleaning.
Is the Benchmade 710-143 discontinued?
Yes. The 710 line is discontinued at Benchmade and the Benchmade 710-143 was a one-time Gold Class run of 200, so it is only available from remaining dealer stock and collectors.

Yes. Benchmade's LifeSharp service covers the Benchmade 710-143 Gold Class for the life of the knife.
