Benchmade Osborne 940BK – Black Blade Version of the Iconic 940

The Benchmade 940BK Osborne is the black-blade version of Warren Osborne's legendary 940, widely considered one of the most quintessential EDC folding knives ever made. Its 3.40 inch CPM-S30V modified reverse tanto blade wears a black coating for low glare and added corrosion resistance, while the slim green anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle keeps the whole knife at just 2.90 ounces. The fully ambidextrous AXIS lock, dual thumb studs, and reversible tip-up clip make it easy to carry and deploy with either hand.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Benchmade 940BK discontinued? Yes. Benchmade no longer produces the Benchmade 940BK Osborne (BCM-OSBORNE940BKFOLD). Current versions of the 940 include the green aluminum 940, the 940-04 Denim Micarta, the 940BK-03 Burnt Copper, and the 940FE-2601 Taiga Green.

Does Benchmade's LifeSharp service cover this knife? Yes. LifeSharp lifetime sharpening covers the Benchmade 940BK Osborne (BCM-OSBORNE940BKFOLD); Benchmade will clean, tune, and resharpen it for the life of the knife.

Where is the Benchmade 940BK made? The Benchmade 940BK Osborne (BCM-OSBORNE940BKFOLD) is made in the USA at Benchmade's factory in Oregon City, Oregon.

Where can I buy a Benchmade 940BK? Going Gear is an authorized Benchmade dealer. The Benchmade 940BK Osborne (BCM-OSBORNE940BKFOLD) is discontinued, so remaining stock is the last of it; the current Benchmade 940 lineup offers in-production alternatives.
