Frequently Asked Questions

What is Benchmade Gold Class?

Gold Class is Benchmade's ultra premium tier: limited runs built with exotic materials like Damasteel, titanium, and carbon fiber. The Benchmade Gold Class Full Immunity 290-241 is one of these limited builds, offered only through the end of 2024.

What is the Damasteel blade on the Benchmade Gold Class Full Immunity 290-241?

Damasteel is a Swedish powder metallurgy stainless Damascus, and the Benchmade Gold Class Full Immunity 290-241 wears it in the Ægir pattern. Because Damasteel is stainless, it does not need the constant oiling that hand forged carbon steel Damascus requires.

What is the difference between the Benchmade Full Immunity and Partial Immunity?

The Full Immunity carries a 2.49" blade like this Benchmade Gold Class Full Immunity 290-241, while the Partial Immunity trims the same design to a 1.95" sub-2-inch blade aimed at stricter carry limits. Both use the AXIS lock and the same sub-compact frame.

Is the Benchmade Full Immunity a good knife?

The Full Immunity platform is a proven sub-compact EDC with a strong wharncliffe cutting edge, and the Benchmade Gold Class Full Immunity 290-241 layers Damasteel, carbon fiber, and a 2.01 oz weight on top of it, so it works as both a carry piece and a collectible.

What is a wharncliffe blade good for?

A wharncliffe has a straight cutting edge with the spine dropping to meet it at a fine point, which gives excellent control for utility cuts, opening packages, and detail work. On the Benchmade Gold Class Full Immunity 290-241 it delivers full cutting power all the way to the tip.

Where is the Benchmade Gold Class Full Immunity 290-241 made?

The Benchmade Gold Class Full Immunity 290-241 was made in the USA at Benchmade's Oregon City, Oregon factory, and Benchmade's LifeSharp service will factory resharpen it for life.

Where can I buy the Benchmade Gold Class Full Immunity 290-241?
