Benchmade Harley-Davidson LFK 13220 – 5.20" Clip-Point Liner Lock Folder

This monster folder incorporates a tail fin design that rotates open and closed in tandem with the blade, allowing for a much larger blade in proportion to handle size. The LFK 13220 runs a 5.20" 440C clip-point out of a machined aircraft-grade aluminum frame with Santoprene overmold, closing to 6.70" and opening to 10.25" overall. It is not a pocket knife in the everyday sense, and it was never meant to be one.

  • Tail fin design rotates in tandem with the blade for a longer blade in a shorter handle
  • Machined aircraft grade aluminum with Santoprene overmold
  • 440C stainless steel blade, 58-60 HRC
  • Corrosion resistant materials throughout
  • Ambidextrous opening, textured handle

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a 5.20" folding knife legal to carry?

Usually not as a carry knife. The Benchmade Harley-Davidson LFK 13220 has a 5.20" blade at 10.25" overall, which exceeds the folder blade-length limit in the large majority of US states and cities. Treat it as a home, shop, camp, or property tool rather than an everyday-carry folder, and read your local statutes before transporting it.

What does the tail fin on the LFK 13220 do?

The tail fin on the Benchmade Harley-Davidson LFK 13220 rotates open and closed in tandem with the blade. That extends the effective handle as the knife opens, which is how a 5.20" blade fits into a 6.70" closed package instead of the 7-inch-plus handle it would otherwise need.

How heavy is the Benchmade Harley-Davidson LFK 13220?

The Benchmade Harley-Davidson LFK 13220 weighs 6.70 oz, with a 0.760" thick machined aluminum and Santoprene handle. It ships with a nylon belt pouch with a hook-and-loop closure, which is the practical way to carry it.

Is 440C good knife steel?

440C is a high-carbon stainless steel with strong corrosion resistance and solid toughness, run at 58-60 HRC on the Benchmade Harley-Davidson LFK 13220. On a large outdoor folder the corrosion resistance is the point, and 440C sharpens easily on a standard stone.

How do you close the Benchmade Harley-Davidson LFK 13220 safely?

Push the locking liner sideways out from under the blade tang, keep your thumb clear of the closing path, then walk the blade down under control. With 5.20" of blade swinging, do this deliberately and with both hands clear.
