Benchmade H&K 14352SBT Ascender – Full-Size Combo Edge Folder
The 14352SBT is the part-serrated version of the full-size Ascender from Benchmade's Heckler & Koch line. The 3.86" 9Cr13 stainless blade is a black-coated drop point with serrations running along the rear of the edge, opened by dual thumb studs. Textured black G10 scales sit over an open-pillar frame with black oxide hardware, a locking liner holds the blade open, and the reversible tip-down clip carries an H&K filler plug on the unused side.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a combo edge?
A combo edge pairs a plain section near the tip with serrations toward the handle. The plain portion handles clean slicing and detail cuts while the serrations tear through rope, seatbelt webbing and heavy cardboard. On the Benchmade H&K 14352SBT Ascender the long 3.86" blade leaves plenty of room for both.
Are the Benchmade H&K knives discontinued?
Yes. Benchmade no longer produces the Heckler & Koch licensed line, so the Benchmade H&K 14352SBT Ascender is a discontinued model available only as remaining dealer stock or on the secondary market.
What is the difference between the Ascender and the Mini Ascender?
Size. The Benchmade H&K 14352SBT Ascender runs a 3.86" blade at 9.25" overall and 5.40 oz, while the Mini Ascender uses a 2.92" blade at 7.00" overall and 3.00 oz.
Is 9Cr13 good knife steel?
9Cr13 is an affordable high-carbon stainless run at 58-60 HRC. It sharpens quickly and resists rust well, but gives up edge retention to premium powder steels. The serrated section of the Benchmade H&K 14352SBT Ascender keeps cutting well after a plain edge would feel dull.
Is it legal to carry a knife this size?
The 3.86" blade on the Benchmade H&K 14352SBT Ascender is over the legal carry length in a number of cities and states, even as a plain manual folder. Check your local blade-length limits and concealed-carry rules first.
Where was the Benchmade H&K 14352SBT Ascender made?
Benchmade's own knives are designed and built in Oregon City, Oregon, but the Heckler & Koch line was a separate licensed program produced to a lower price point. The Benchmade H&K 14352SBT Ascender was part of that imported licensed line.
Where can I buy the Benchmade H&K 14352SBT Ascender?
Going Gear is an authorized Benchmade dealer. This model is discontinued, so availability of the Benchmade H&K 14352SBT Ascender is limited to remaining stock.
