Frequently Asked Questions
What is a sheepsfoot blade good for?
A sheepsfoot blade has a straight cutting edge and a blunted tip, which makes it ideal for controlled utility cuts with less risk of accidental punctures. The Benchmade Mini Griptilian 555HGBLU uses a modified sheepsfoot profile that keeps that control in a compact EDC folder.
Why is the Benchmade Griptilian so popular?
The Griptilian family earned its reputation on the AXIS lock, grippy Valox handles, and everyday-friendly blade shapes. The Benchmade Mini Griptilian 555HGBLU brings all of that in a compact 2.91" format with a distinctive blue handle.
Is Benchmade discontinuing the Griptilian?
The Griptilian line continues, but this 154CM generation is out of production. The Benchmade Mini Griptilian 555HGBLU is discontinued, and current Mini Griptilian production uses CPM-S30V blades with black Grivory handles.

Yes. Benchmade's LifeSharp lifetime service will clean, oil, adjust, and re-sharpen the Benchmade Mini Griptilian 555HGBLU for the life of the knife.
Where is the Benchmade Mini Griptilian 555HGBLU made?
Like all Benchmade knives, the Benchmade Mini Griptilian 555HGBLU is made in the USA at Benchmade's facility in Oregon City, Oregon.
