Benchmade Triage 915SBK – N680 Black Combo Edge Rescue Folding Knife

The Benchmade Triage 915SBK is a purpose-built rescue folding knife that packs three tools into one AXIS lock folder: a 3.50" black-coated modified sheepsfoot blade with a combo (partially serrated) edge, a hook-shaped 440C safety cutter, and a carbide glass breaker. Tested by some of the world's foremost rescue experts, the Triage earned a loyal following among firefighters, EMTs, law enforcement, and everyday carriers who want a folder built for emergencies.

The black-coated N680 blade is a nitrogen-enriched stainless steel (57-59 HRC) with outstanding corrosion resistance, opened ambidextrously on dual thumb studs. The serrated section powers through rope, straps, and fibrous material, the safety hook slices seatbelts and webbing without exposing a sharp edge, and the carbide tip at the pommel shatters tempered glass. Textured black G10 scales over 420J stainless steel liners and a reversible tip-up deep-carry clip complete the package.

Benchmade Triage 915SBK – Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Benchmade Triage 915SBK discontinued?

Yes. Benchmade has discontinued the original Triage 915 generation and replaced it in the current lineup with the Triage 916 and Tactical Triage 917. Remaining examples of the Benchmade Triage 915SBK are increasingly sought after by rescue knife fans.

What is a combo edge?

A combo edge is partially serrated: the front of the blade stays plain for controlled cuts while the section nearest the handle is serrated. On the Benchmade Triage 915SBK the serrations rip through rope, seatbelt webbing, and other fibrous materials that dull a plain edge quickly.

What makes the Benchmade Triage 915SBK a rescue knife?

A rescue knife pairs a cutting blade with dedicated emergency tools. The Benchmade Triage 915SBK combines its combo edge sheepsfoot blade with a hook-shaped 440C safety cutter that slices seatbelts and webbing away from skin, plus a carbide glass breaker for tempered auto glass, making it a favorite rescue knife with a glass breaker among firefighters and EMTs.

Is N680 good knife steel?

Yes. N680 is a nitrogen-enriched stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, exactly what the Benchmade Triage 915SBK needs in wet, sweaty, or marine rescue environments. At 57-59 HRC it holds a working edge and resharpens easily.

How does the AXIS lock on the Benchmade Triage 915SBK work?

A spring-loaded steel bar rides in slots in both liners and snaps over the blade tang when the knife opens. The AXIS lock on the Benchmade Triage 915SBK is fully ambidextrous and lets you close the blade without putting fingers in its path, a real benefit when working in gloves.

Does Benchmade still sharpen the Triage 915SBK for free?

Yes. Benchmade's LifeSharp service covers the Benchmade Triage 915SBK for life: send it in and Benchmade will clean, oil, adjust, and factory resharpen it at no charge.

Is the Benchmade Triage 915SBK made in the USA?

Yes. The Benchmade Triage 915SBK was manufactured in Benchmade's Oregon City, Oregon facility.

Where can I buy the Benchmade Triage 915SBK?

Going Gear is an authorized Benchmade dealer. When available, the Benchmade Triage 915SBK is listed right here; discontinued Triage 915 models sell out quickly.
