The Grimloc was developed by ITW Nexus for the US Marine Corps when they were looking for an attachment system for use with their hydration packs. The Grimloc attaches to any 1" or smaller webbing and can be used to attach gear to a pack so it is readily available instead of stuffed away inside a pocket. The Grimloc is strong and secure, but will break away under the weight of a person. It is also IR signal reducing, if you happen to be in a line of work where that makes a difference.
