Spyderco Bodacious C263GP — A Hell-for-Stout EDC Pocket Knife
Designed by Spyderco co-founder and Blade Magazine Hall of Fame member Sal Glesser, the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP takes its name from the American bucking bull once billed as the world's most dangerous bull. That inspiration shows: this is a deliberately overbuilt folder built for unfailing reliability. Its broad, leaf-shaped blade is full-flat ground from CPM S30V stainless steel and carries a satin finish, with a fully accessible Trademark Round Hole for swift one-handed deployment with either hand.
The handle is built on skeletonized stainless steel liners nested within smooth black G-10 scales and reinforced by a minimalist stainless steel backspacer. Those liners also form the foundation of the knife's Compression Lock mechanism, and provide the mounting platform for a broad-based pocket clip that reverses for left or right-side tip-up carry. A generously sized lanyard hole sits behind the clip. At 4.4 ounces with a 3.63" blade, the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP is a substantial but genuinely carryable EDC pocket knife, made in the United States.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Compression Lock on the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP work?
The Compression Lock in the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP uses a leaf-shaped spring on the back of the handle that wedges between the blade tang and a stop pin. It is exceptionally strong under load, and it lets you unlock the knife from the spine side so your fingers never cross the closing blade path.
What is a leaf-shaped blade?
A leaf-shaped blade, like the one on the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP, widens through the middle and tapers to a fine point. It is a Spyderco signature profile that balances slicing belly, piercing ability and edge strength, which is what makes the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP such a versatile everyday cutter.
What kind of steel is CPM S30V?
CPM S30V is a powder-metallurgy stainless steel with vanadium carbides that give it strong wear resistance and good corrosion resistance. On the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP it is full-flat ground, so the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP holds a working edge well while staying practical to maintain at home.
How do I sharpen the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP?
The flat grind and PlainEdge of the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP make it straightforward to sharpen on ceramic rods, diamond plates or a guided system. Match the existing bevel angle and work in light, even passes; the CPM S30V blade of the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP responds best to diamond or ceramic abrasives rather than soft natural stones.
Is the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP legal to carry?
The Spyderco Bodacious C263GP is a manually opened folding knife with a 3.63" blade, not an automatic. Blade length limits and folding knife rules vary by state, county and city, so check your local ordinances before carrying the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP.
Can the pocket clip be moved for left-handed carry?
Yes. The broad-based clip on the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP is reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry, and the Trademark Round Hole opens ambidextrously, so the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP works equally well for left- and right-handed users.
How is the C263GP different from the C263GPBK?
Both are the same knife mechanically. The Spyderco Bodacious C263GP has a satin-finished blade with brightly finished hardware, while the C263GPBK is the all-black version with a Diamond-Like Carbon blade coating and black-coated liners, clip and hardware. If you want the bright, traditional look, the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP is the one.
Where can I buy the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP?
You can buy the Spyderco Bodacious C263GP at Going Gear, an authorized Spyderco dealer. Every Spyderco Bodacious C263GP we ship is genuine, factory-fresh and backed by the full manufacturer warranty.
